Horses In the Dark

I love dramatic lighting on horses. It takes my breath away. It's the kind of thing I wish I dreamed about all the time, every night.

"Soft Gold" A horse in a barn I used to frequent.

"Fear" The same horse.

Water and the Spider

"Bubbles and Diamonds" Close up of a Dandelion after its all fuzzy, covered in water.

"Beads" The horrific Spider that lives on the side of our house, and her beautiful web.

"Arachnid" Ugh, it's hideous, and so fascinating. :)

Miscellaneous Photo's

Miscellaneous Photo's.

"Touching Winter"

"Remembering Them" The bridle that belonged to all four of my horses. It has hung there for almost five years now unused.

"Shattering Blue" Bathtub. Water. Apple. Food Coloring. Camera.

"Reaching" My hand, summertime.

"Lazy Summer" My shoes.

Cats

"Scaredy Cats" George. In Loving Memory. He liked to sleep and sit in the flower pots on the porch. With the Halloween sign it just added to the effect.

"Baby Maggie" We got Maggie after George passed away. This was when she was still little.

"Bright Eyes" My cat, Sugar Plum. My pretty baby posing outside.

"Domestic Panther" George Again.

"Imitation Sphinx" Sugar Plum, in all her splendid, irritated, feline arrogance.

"Guardian Panther" George on the tractor. The clouds were just so lovely that day. I got lucky there.

"The Queen" Sugar Plum. "In ancient Egypt, cats were worshipped as gods. The cats have never forgotten this." ~Unknown

"Pumpkin King" George. He made a great Halloween decoration.

"Yellow" Sugar Plum's Eye.

Horses

"Delusion Redux" This is Oreo.

"Amber Glow" Glory is her name.

"Secrets" Sunchaser.

Horses! I love horses, they are easily my favorite subject to photograph. Most of the photos here are of horses that live around my block or belong to friends. Please enjoy!

"Showin' Off" Sunchaser.

"Alert" Sunchaser again. What can I say? He's my current favorite subject, he's such a great poser!

"Out Of Black Redux" I've had this one done for a while, but I decided I didn't like how red he looked, since he's more of a golden bay, so I messed with the colors a bit in Photoshop.

"Super Nova" General Washington's eye. He's a black and white paint gelding.

"Lost To You" Gunner. Don't know what breed he is for sure. But he's got a lovely color!

"Lonely Here" Don't know this horses real name. I called him lightning. He was only in my neighborhood for a short time, but I loved him to bits.

"Into Perfection"

"Dreaming of the Sun" Rio (learned his real name today), the sweetest horse ever!

"In Disguise" Portrait of Sunchaser, an Arabian Gelding belonging to a friend.
